Arising from our last L&D Member's Survey, we are launching a pilot series of virtual supervision groups - one for supervision of supervisors, and one for coach/mentor supervision - both run by experienced AOCS supervisors.

These will be closed supervision groups for up to 6 members each group, to ensure confidentiality and to build trust between group members. The reason behind launching these groups includes:

  • Cost-effective supervision for supervisors and coaches

  • Additional AOCS benefit for its members and coaches

  • Opportunity for AOCS members to volunteer as group supervisors

A supervision group can be suitable for those who are new to supervision or who have only a few supervision clients, or have a small number of clients.

Many of us have “portfolio careers” and coaching and supervision may be only a part of what we do. The groups will help to:

  • maintain the momentum of our coaching and supervision
  • provide the opportunity to learn from each other
  • offer good value
  • meet the professional requirements for coaching and supervision
