The Supervision Café - celebrating International Coach Supervision Day in the North East of England

Posted by Trish Brady on 4 July 2017

In the North East, we marked International Coach Supervision Day on 19th May 2017 by holding a Supervision Café.

This is an idea I have been thinking about for a couple of years, the objective of which is to provide a more informal approach to reflective practice for emerging coaches - those in training or recently qualified - to help them to begin to engage in critical reflective practice at a time when their coaching practice is developing, but when they do not perhaps have the volume of coaching clients to fund individual or more traditional group supervision.

My feeling has always been that this is a crucial time to help coaches to understand the value of supervision, and to learn how to engage in generative reflective practice.
