Group Supervision offer: Using the Wisdom of the Seasons for Reflective Inquiry with Elaine Patterson
Tue, Sep. 22, 2015 13:00 − 17:00
The natural ebb and flow of the seasons are used to prompt the bigger more reflective conversations, which naturally arise as people practitioners seek to develop themselves to finesse their practice.
Grounded in the natural rhythms of the seasons, group members are invited into a unique reflective space with fellow travellers to finesse their relationships, fine tune their support, and enhance their capacity to work with the heat, the cold, the light and the dark edges of professional practice where our most powerful learning exists.
Participants will explore what is required of them to support another’s learning whilst also learning how they need to support themselves as they unravel “WHO they are and WHO they are BECOMING” as they work. It is a space to safely explore how as practitioners we can all deepen our capacities to be fully human and to free ourselves to work with even more presence, compassion, courage, grace and wisdom for our clients.
Practice examples and critical incidents will be explored through personal reflection and group inquiry against the backdrop of the changing seasons. Each session will framed by the sharing of a seasonal poem or art work as a way into the inquiry and will be grounded in relational presence, group dynamics, psychological mindedness, systemic thinking and reflective learning.
The group will start on September 22nd and will be limited to a maximum of 5 members. Its format and practical arrangements will be co-created via an initial conference call with interested people, but the aim is to work together for 4 half-day sessions over the year as near as possible to the Autumn Equinox, Winter Solstice, Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice.
Cost: £400 plus any venue costs pro rata as agreed.
